My experience in Barcelona

La Sagrada Familia

On the day of the big departure, I must admit that I was very stressed, I just realized that I was going for 4 months to live in another country with a culture and a language different from the one I know.

We arrive in a new country, we lose all our bearings, all our habits and we move away from the people we love. I think the hardest thing for me was to tell myself that I was far from my loved ones, that I was going to be “alone”.

Fortunately, I learned that I will not be alone in Barcelona ! One of my friends from Bordeaux accompany me for 4 months and she managed to get the same internship than me.

I was extremely reassured to know that she was going to be with me throughout this adventure.

On January 31, 2020, the day of the great departure, with my mother, I left for the station with all my suitcases towards Barcelona. With a journey a little complicated in public transport, we finally arriving in the evening at the apartment I rented for the duration of the internship.

After a weekend of sightseeing tours and last moments to enjoy my mom, it’s Monday and it’s the first day of my traineeship !

I will talk in more detail about my experience as an intern in DPOINTGROUP in another post exclusively dedicated to this, here, I prefer to focus on what I live when I’m not at the internship.
