Why Barcelona ?

Now, I would like to explain you why I decided to do my internship in this beautiful city : Barcelona.

I prefer to be honest and not lie by confessing that Barcelona was not my first choice. Indeed, I absolutely wanted to go in an English-speaking country to improve my english. So, I’m firstly interested in the city of London. Very active city and having never been there, I thought it could be really rewarding to live there for a few months.

After much research and many refusals, I quickly realized that the level of English to work or do an internship in London had to be perfect but mine was not unfortunately…

So, I had to rethink my internship and find another destination. Because I’m a home lover, I didn’t want to leave Europe, leaving several months away from home for the first time is a huge change, while some prefer to go very far thinking that this may be their only opportunity to discover the world, I made the choice to start “slowly”.

I wanted to keep the desire to leave again and keep it an enjoyable experience.

So, I started my research again but now, without having a specific destination in mind. I applied for offers in Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and Germany but I didn’t think of Spain at all. Then, after discussing our various destinations with classmates who already had their internships, several spoke to me about Barcelona.

It was a city that I had never visited and that I hardly knew, so I decided to find out about it and I quickly realized that it was a very international city and that it had many different nationalities.

I was now focusing on internship offers located in Barcelona and hoped to quickly find a company that suits me !
